Discovering Diversity

With the subject of Diversity being a forefront topic in the world today, we must recognize the importance and value of helping each other learn how to understand and respect all people and appreciating and valuing their diversity as opposed to criticizing it.

This workshop is designed for teachers and parents who want to help their young children begin this understanding at an early age - the time when impressions of the world and people begin forming and the time when those wonderful seeds of acceptance can be planted.

In this workshop we look at ways to encourage positive diverse views in children using ‘child friendly’ activities and play to help instil those values in children.  Participants will leave with a better understanding of how to encourage diversity appreciation in children, and will learn some fun and interesting activities on the topic they can implement with children.
